Founder and Creative Producer

 

Gabriella was born in Naples, Italy, and she lived there until the age of twenty-two. She studied languages at university in Italy before moving to London where she carried on her academic studies obtaining a first class degree in Politics, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Conference Interpretation Techniques and more recently a MA in Psychotherapy and Counselling Psychology. She is currently working on her MA dissertation.

 

Gabriella worked as a conference interpreter for international organisations from 1998 to 2004. 

 

Between 2000 and 2002 Gabriella trained as an actress with the Courtyard Theatre Company and performed in fringe theatre productions of Marat Sade, the Caucasian Chalk Circle, the Threepenny Opera, Henry V, Twelve Night, and Romeo and Juliet. Between 2004 and 2008 she trained as a Burlesque dancer and made her debut at London's Volupté Club as Miss Liberty Heights.

 

In 2002 following the suicide of a close friend, Gabriella developed an interest in bereavement care. She trained with Cruse Bereavement Care and worked as a voluntary bereavement counsellor until 2010.

 

In 2009 she began her MA degree in Psychotherapy and Counselling Psychology at the School of Psychotherapy and Counselling Psychology at Regent's College. In April of the same year Gabriella lost her father to a sudden and aggressive form of lung cancer. She chronicled her grief for the loss of her father in several papers and in October of the same year she delivered a talk on spiritual transformation through illness and death at the annual conference of the Society for Existential Analysis where the paper was enthusiastically received. In 2010 she was invited to deliver the talk at the Conference on Research in Faith and Health in Secular Society hosted by the University of Southern Denmark where she was awarded the Certificate of Best Speaker. 

 

Between 2009 and 2011 Gabriella worked as a psychotherapist in training at the Claremont Project in Islington.

 

In December 2011 Gabriella and her husband adopted their first daughter from Ethiopia. They are currently in the process of adopting their second child from the same country.

 

Gabriella is a trustee of the educational charity Link Ethiopia and a member of the Brolly Sounding Board.
